カイロスを追いかけて
Chaing Kairos

The title of my solo exhibition, ‘Chasing Kairos,’ refers to Kairos, the Greek god of ‘opportune moment.’ How do I capture each fleeting instant in my paintings? While contemplating this during my recent creative process, I suddenly realized that the constant struggle to seize the chance born from my own actions felt like chasing Kairos himself. That thought inspired the title.
個展のタイトル『Chasing Kairos』の「カイロス」は、ギリシャ神話の「時」の神様です。一瞬一瞬をどのように絵にするか。それを考えながら描いている最近の制作プロセスの中で、自分の行為から生まれるチャンスをどのように捕まえるかという駆け引きが、まるでカイロスと追いかけっこしているようだなと、ある日ふと思ったのがきっかけでタイトルにしました。
This was my second exhibition, following my debut in 2023. Holding a solo exhibition and having so many people view my paintings was an incredibly stimulating experience.
2023年に引き続き、2回目の出品でした。個展をさせていただき多くの方々に絵を観ていただけたのはとても刺激的な体験でした。
It rained only on the day of setup, but the weather was relatively good the rest of the time. This time, our booth number was “P008.”
搬入の日だけ雨で、あとの日は比較的良い天気でした。今回はブースナンバーが「P008」でした。
We displayed a large painting on the front wall. Although the paint wasn't dry yet at that time, we managed to hang it without incident.
正面の壁に大きな絵を展示しました。まだこの時は絵具が乾いていなかったのですが、アクシデントもなく展示することが出来ました。
On the wall to the right as you face the entrance, we displayed ten small works and two drawings. These are primarily paintings created in 2023–2024.
正面に向かって右手の壁には小品を10点、ドローイングを2点展示しました。主に2023~4年に描いた絵です。
On the left wall facing the entrance, I displayed three slightly larger paintings side by side. For me, landscapes and faces are themes that are inseparable.
正面に向かって左手の壁には少し大きめの絵を3点並べて展示しました。私にとって風景と顔は切っても切り離せないテーマです。
